Our employment specialists advise on all aspects of employment and industrial relations law. These include strategic advice on business initiatives and change management, discrimination issues (including bullying and harassment), long-term sickness and stress claims, disciplinary and grievance issues and family-friendly rights. We also provide support for all the employment-related issues which arise during M&A and outsourcing transactions, including drafting and negotiating TUPE schedules, information and consultation, harmonising terms and conditions, redundancies and other dismissals.
Our clients are public and private companies of all sizes and from a broad range of industry sectors including pharmaceuticals, IT, publishing and other media. Many of our clients are companies which are UK based subsidiaries of overseas companies – particularly those with parent companies in the US. We also work with many charities, professional institutions and "not for profit" organisations, as well as with senior executives.
We have considerable experience of handling disputes, including negotiating severance packages and dealing with claims in the Employment Tribunals and High Court.
