Gemma is a contentious IP specialist whose advice covers the full range of intellectual property rights but especially patents.  She advises across all sectors, with a particular emphasis on pharmaceuticals, chemicals and chemical processes. Her background in Biochemistry provides her with a sound understanding of the technical issues that can underlie intellectual property matters.

Gemma is part of a team of associates who are responsible for a global pharmaceutical product co-ordination project, in which she manages IP litigation in a range of jurisdictions.  She regularly works alongside lawyers and patent agents in other jurisdictions including Europe and Asia.  Gemma has also assisted in several patent litigation proceedings before the High Court.

During her training contract, Gemma completed a three month secondment to the legal department of a major pharmaceutical company.
