Nicola is an IP specialist. She advises on non-contentious intellectual property and information technology matters and has acted for clients across a range of sectors including the pharmaceutical industry, the entertainment and fashion industry, manufacturers of consumer products and TMT.

Nicola is experienced in advising on transactions involving the development, exploitation and transfer of intellectual property rights including patents, know-how, trademarks, design rights and copyright and the intellectual property aspects of corporate and funding transactions. Further, Nicola advises on general international data protection compliance issues, particularly international data transfers matters.

Nicola trained at a UK law firm in London before joining a smaller niche intellectual property team in Manchester where she specialised in both intellectual property and sports law. More recently Nicola worked in the IP department of a large American law firm before joining Bristows in June 2008.
